    • What are Cookies? Cookies are small text files stored on your device (computer, tablet, or smartphone) when you visit a website. Pilgrim Prayers is committed to maintaining your privacy. We only share your personal information under specific circumstances. We do not sell or rent your information to third parties. Your information may only be disclosed in the following situations:

  • Disclosure to third-party service providers: We work with third parties who provide us with some tasks in connection with the Site and our Services. These third parties require your information to perform these tasks. For example, we work with service providers who provide us with website hosting, data storage, advertising, analytics gathering, Site security, payment processing, and email communications management. We enter into agreements with these third parties to prevent them from using your information for any other purposes.
  • Disclosure in connection with legal compliance and protection: We may disclose personal information if required by law, in response to valid legal processes (such as subpoenas, court orders, or regulatory requests), or to comply with legal obligations. Additionally, we may share your information when we believe it is necessary to enforce our Terms of Use and protect our rights, property, or safety or those of other Site users and third parties.
  • Disclosure in connection with business transfers: In the event of a merger, acquisition, restructuring, or sale of all or a portion of our assets, your personal data may be transferred as part of the business transaction. We will endeavor to notify you of any such change in ownership or control of your personal information through a prominent notice on the Site or direct communication.
  • Disclosure with your consent: We may share your information with third parties if you provide explicit consent. For example, if you share a personal testimonial or prayer story and provide consent, we may feature this content on the Site or marketing materials. In this case, the information may be available publicly on the Site. Meanwhile, you have the option to leave your testimonies anonymously.
  • Disclosure of aggregate information in connection with marketing: We may share information that has been aggregated or anonymized in a way that no longer identifies you personally. This data is used for research, marketing, and analytical purposes to help us improve our Services and better understand user behavior.
  • Inadvertent disclosure of personal information: You acknowledge and accept that, despite our efforts, there may be times or situations when your information is inadvertently disclosed by us or a third party to whom we have disclosed your information. You hereby accept that risk and waive any and all claims, causes of action, damages and liability against us in the event of inadvertent or negligent disclosure of personal information.

6. Interest-Based Advertising

We may work with advertising agencies and social media advertisers, which involves the use of aggregate information to send relevant adverts to you across the websites you visit.

We may allow advertising networks and social media networks to gather information about your behavior on the Site using analytics tools. We may also share aggregate information with these third parties, and they may combine it with your behavior on other websites and use it to send adverts that match your behavior.

If you do not want adverts displayed to you based on your interest and behavior across the internet, you can opt out using the following methods:

  • Browser Settings: Most web browsers allow you to block or delete Cookies through their settings. Refer to your browser’s help section to learn how to manage cookies.
  • Industry-wide opt-out tools: You can opt out of personalized ads through tools provided by the advertising industry, such as:
    • The Network Advertising Initiative (NAI) by visiting NAI.
    • The Digital Advertising Alliance (DAA) by visiting DAI.
    • Since we use GA4 and other Google services, you can manage Google’s ad personalization settings via Google Ads settings.

Please note that opting out of interest-based ads does not mean you will no longer see ads; you will continue to receive ads, but they may not be personalized to your interests.

7. Sale Of Personal Information

We do not sell personal information as defined under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), Nevada privacy law, or similar data protection regulations. However, some laws, including the CCPA, define “sale” broadly, which may include the sharing of personal data for certain advertising purposes.

Your rights under CCPA and Nevada law:

If you are a California resident, you have the right to opt out of the sale of your personal information. If we engage in such practices in the future, we will notify you and provide a “Do Not Sell My Personal Information” link on the Site.

Nevada residents can request to opt out of the sale of their personal information under Nevada law. Even though we currently do not sell your personal information, you may submit a request to opt out of any future sale by contacting us at info@pilgrimprayers.org.

8. Email Marketing

If you subscribe to our mailing list by submitting your email address in the newsletter form on the Site, we will add you to our mailing list and send you inspiring updates and special offers. If you ever need to opt out of our mailing list at any time, you can simply do so by using the unsubscribe instructions at the bottom of any of our emails.

Please note that opting out of our mailing list does not apply to administrative messages, such as updates to our agreements and policies or confirmation notices.

9. Data Security And Confidentiality

We employ administrative and technical measures in order to protect the confidentiality of your personal information against loss, theft, and misuse, as well as unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure or destruction. We process personal information on servers located in various countries worldwide. Any improper collection or misuse of information provided via the Site is a violation of this Privacy Policy.

However, despite our efforts and the measures that we take to protect the confidentiality of the information and its security, you agree that no method of data security is foolproof. In cases where there is a data breach, we shall not be liable to you for any damage that will be caused.

10. The Retention Of Your Information

We retain your personal information for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes for which it was collected, in compliance with legal, accounting, or regulatory requirements. The duration of retention may vary based on the type of information and its intended use. For example, we retain prayer requests and testimonies until the request is addressed or until you request its deletion. Testimonials remain on the Site with your consent unless you withdraw it.

Once personal information is no longer necessary for the purposes for which it was collected or required by law, we will securely delete, anonymize, or restrict access to the information.

11. Accessing Your Information

The law provides you with the right to access and request the information you have provided to us. If you wish to access and delete the information we have about you, please reach out to us at info@pilgrimprayers.org or the Contact Us section of the Site.

Also, you can always withdraw your consent if we process your information based on your consent (such as by requesting that we remove your testimonies from our wall).

Furthermore, you can lodge a complaint with the applicable authority if you believe we are processing your information in ways not described under this Privacy Policy.

12. Do Not Track Signals

The Do Not Track is a browser feature that allows you to send signals to website owners to not track your online activities. We are required to inform you by applicable law if we respond to such signals. However, due to the inconsistent nature of the Do Not Track feature among industry participants, we do not currently respond to Do Not Track signals.

13. Our Policy Towards Children

The Site is not directed at individuals under the age of 18 (children). We do not knowingly collect any personal information from children except they provide us with verifiable consent from their parents or legal guardians. If a parent or guardian believes that the Site has collected the personal information of a child, please contact us at info@pilgrimprayers.org or use the Contact Us section of the Site.

14. Changes To Privacy Policy

We reserve the right to amend this Privacy Policy at any time at our sole discretion due to changes in applicable laws or our practices. We may inform you of any such amendments by posting a new Privacy Policy on the Site’s home page, including a clear indication of the new effective date. To the extent required by applicable law, we will obtain your consent after changing any portion of this Privacy Policy. You are advised to consult this Privacy Policy regularly for any changes. By your continued access and use of our Services after any changes to this Privacy Policy, you consent to the changes made.

15. External Websites

Pilgrim Prayers are not responsible for the practices employed by external websites uploaded or linked to or from the Site, nor the information or content contained therein. When you link from the Site to another website through a link or content, our Privacy Policy is no longer in effect.
